One-Time Financial Planning

For clients who work with MFP for ongoing investment management, comprehensive financial planning is included as part of the advisory relationship. We also offer one-time financial planning and consulting engagements starting at $1,500.

What Your Advisory Fee Covers

For ongoing advisory clients, investment management and financial planning work together. Rather than looking at your portfolio in isolation, we consider how your investments fit within your broader financial life.

Depending on your needs, financial planning may include:

  • Retirement and income planning
  • Investment and portfolio management
  • Cash flow and savings strategies
  • Tax-aware planning
  • Insurance and risk management
  • Estate and legacy planning
  • Wealth transfer and multigenerational planning
  • Financial planning through major life transitions

Why We Believe Transparency Matters

Financial planning should never feel like a transaction you don't understand.

We want our clients to know what they're paying for and how their financial professional is compensated. Before beginning a relationship, we'll explain the services we recommend, the applicable fees, and the nature of the relationship.

Our goal is a long-term relationship built on trust, communication, and a clear understanding of the work we're doing together.

A Fiduciary Relationship

MFP Financial Services is a registered investment adviser. When we provide investment advisory services, we have a fiduciary obligation to act in our clients' best interests.

You may see MFP described as a fee-based firm rather than a fee-only firm. The distinction is important.

The majority of our ongoing client relationships are based on an advisory fee for investment management and comprehensive financial planning. We also offer financial planning and consulting as a separate service for clients who may not need ongoing investment management.

In addition, some of our financial professionals are registered representatives of LPL Financial and may provide brokerage services through LPL. Brokerage and advisory relationships have different fee structures and may involve different forms of compensation.

We believe the most important thing is that you understand which type of relationship you have, what you are paying, and how your financial professional is compensated.

Questions About Our Fees?

You don't need to know exactly what type of financial planning you need before reaching out. We'll start by learning about you, your family, and your goals, then explain how we may be able to help.

If you're looking for financial planning, wealth management, or investment management in Safety Harbor, Tampa Bay, or beyond, we're happy to start the conversation.
